The Radio Show Party Experience

Welcome to the Radio Show - a live broadcast show via a private party, described as a "talent show party."  First, we select a television or radio show to reenact. Then we transcribe a script, score the music, and invite others to join in the fun.  Some guests are audience members and some play the role of a character.  On some occasions we even have a live band that brings the party to life!

Creating Sound Effects

Sound effects can really make a story come to life.  In the motion picture industry we call this "foley."  In today's industry, many sound effects are created electronically (or come from a sound effects library).  However, in classic radio, sound effects were created by physical props on-stage.  In our reenactment of "Prairie Home Companion" sound effects man, Michael Suing, utilized both physical props and electronic sound effects triggered by an Ableton Launch pad.
